











Such a pleasure to see someone reading on the MRT in Singapore. Amid all the eyes fixed intently on phones, lost in the virtual world, I came across a child reading with the same quiet enthusiasm, the same absorption — but anchored in paper, not pixels.
This asymmetrical diptych began with acrylics and inks, with the final layers built up in oils and oil sticks. I’ve kept the background loose and playful, allowing it to echo the spontaneity of the moment.
