BEST BUSES
It was originally set up in 1873 as a tramway company called “Bombay Tramway Company Limited”. The bus service started with a fleet of 24 buses on July 15, 1926.
Buses that ran between 1928 and 1930 had postboxes for passengers to deposit their letters.

TAXIS
Motorised taxis first ran in Mumbai in 1911, replacing horse-driven ‘Victorias’.
