In this painting, I’ve combined realism with abstraction. The cart is rendered in intricate detail, anchoring the scene in reality, while the background dissolves into abstraction—allowing focus to rest fully on the subject. The boy is the son of my mom’s vegetable seller. I was moved by the way he sat—his shoes casually placed on the cart, sipping juice and playing with a small toy, completely lost in his own world. That quiet, unbothered moment felt so honest, so human. I wanted to capture that fleeting simplicity.
